The highly-acclaimed Dutch violinist Janine Jansen will play Anders Eliasson’s Violin Concerto Einsame Fahrt (Solitary Journey) at the Stockholm Concert Hall.
“It’s an amazing piece”, Janine Jansen said when she arrived in Stockholm earlier this week.
Janine Jansen got to know Anders Eliasson and his music by the end of his life, when her husband, the conductor Daniel Blendulf, was about to conduct his chamber opera Karolinas sömn (Karolina’s Sleep). She then also got to listen to a number of other Eliasson works and immediately felt that she would like to play Einsame Fahrt.

Daniel Blendulf will conduct the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic in the two concerts on Wednesday (21 Oct) and Thursday (23 Oct).
